The Eldritch, like the Radiant, have a strong foothold in the world, acting as an antithesis to them in most cases. However they’re power has been felt for much longer. Many believe it was they that had destroyed Equestria of old. One of the Eldritch Lords indeed has a hoof in the Refugee Fleet’s being, Abdorr the Stormrider attempted to shatter them on the Levia Reef. Worship of the Radiant is the most widespread religion in Mjirhold and was started in Frostmoth by Starlight Glimmer.
